Seat Altea XL

The Seat Altea XL is the big brother of the Seat Altea, 18.7 cm or 7.4 inches longer than the standard car therefore offering over 100 litres more boot space which can be increased further by the ingenious sliding rear seats. The Altea XL is a good looking car, sporty without looking too aggressive, it is nimble and precise to drive, it shares a chassis with the Volkswagen Golf, it has a high driving position and excellent access for driver and passengers.

The New I-TECH trim boasts titanium finished 16” alloy wheels, tinted windows and front fog lights with cornering function. The interior equipment is equally impressive. Stay in touch with the Connectivity Pack, which includes Bluetooth hands-free phone connection and steering wheel controls, full colour satellite navigation with multi-function display with DAB digital radio and iPod / MP3 connection, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlights and parking sensors both front and rear, cruise control and automatic climate control.  The I TECH also includes the Family Pack as standard which includes a TFT screen mounted in the roof that can be connected to external sources such as games consoles and tablets.

The Altea has an array of engines but our pick is the 1.6 litre diesel unit offering 105 brakes horse power that is available as a 5 speed manual or the excellent 7 speed automatic (DSG) the manual version has stop start technology, where the car engine stops when the cars does then automatically starts again when you press the accelerator which increases the fuel consumption which is 62.8 for the manual and 57.6 for the Automatic version. Performance is good too with a top speed of 114 miles per hour and 0-62 mph in 12.3 seconds.
