alfa romeo have have changed the gulieta line up, will the new spec/models be updated onto the mobility pages….dealership has new line up but no information on mobility prices
Hi. I’ve looked for the new models on alfa and motability but can’t see where the new giulietta models are.
Please someone help, I have ordered my new car and have signed for it etc but I have made a huge mistake, I no longer want the model I have ordered which I am due to pick up on the 28th march, what I want to know is , is it too late to cancel my order at this late stage
Hi Thomas, speak to the Motability guy at your dealership and explain the reasons – you don’t highlight them in your comments.
Any hassle, phone Motability asap.
Don’t worry!!
With the new model of Tiguan coming out soon how likely is it that the old model Tiguan will be on the scheme in the April price list
George, the Tiguan is on now.
Hi Bryan
Yes I know it’s on now
What I wanted to know was what was are odds of it still being available in the new April price list
The new model comes out in 2015
Hi George, there isn’t going to be much change in VW’s April list.
Hi my wife is looking for a new car soon, we have had an insignia auto sri for the past 3 years and its been great but the ap for the new one is out of our league any advice on something with a similar spec for under 1000 ap
Guys wondered if you can help me please, im about to take my 1st ever motability car and i need to consider occasional towing of a caravan that MMO is around 1450Kg
The advance payment i can do is around £800-£1000 can drive a manual and would prefer a diesel
We only ever tow around 20-30 miles to a local site but obviously we need to be legal. Hubby holds a HGV licence
Donkey,
The MRO (Mass in running order) is the weight of the Caravan as it leaves the factory so it does not include anything that you carry in the Caravan such as bikes, bedding, clothes, gas bottles etc, the figure more commonly used for towing calculations is the MTPLM (maximum technical permissible laden mass), there will be a small plaque under the door of the caravan that states these figures. A caravan weighing 1450kg MRO is a fairly heavy van, adding 150kg to roughly work out the MTPLM will give a MTPLM weight of 1600kg and in order to tow a van this size you will need a heavy powerful vehicle, while the recommendations are for a caravan to be 85% of the tow cars weight, this is only advisory. We would first look at the Nissan X-Trail at £999 Advance Payment as it offers towing excellence and super value as well as 4×4 capabilities.
https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk
The X-Trail is the obvious choice, but will probably disappear from the lists come the April changeover.
Also, if you can stretch a bit, is the Volvo V70 diesel.
Good luck.
Hi. As your aware im due to change next quarter and the alfa giulietta is a stunner. I was wondering if the new face lifted version will be on next quarter as the decrease of models in this quarter has virtually disappeared. Will there be the sportiva verson on the scheme.
Simon.
I had a look at the Motability site a couple of days ago and noticed that VW have added more golf estates on the scheme including 2 more autos. The vw list does not even show estates listed on the scheme.
Went to my local Vauxhall dealers to order new car and while I was there I spotted a car id not seen before it was the Vauxhall ampera a electric car does 300 miles on a charge and over 200mpg and guy told me its on mobility looks a stunning car although im still getting a astra estate
Quick question I put before. Will the hyundai veloster be back in the scheme.? Why was it removed?
Simon,
This is the second quarter that the Veloster has not been on the Scheme, we will contact Hyundai UK to see if there are any plans to bring it back.
https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk
I put this question out a week or so ago now after visiting a citroen dealership. I’m due to change next quarter and im now looking to seek what car is the best for myself. My current vehicle has standard bi xenon headlights. Absolutely fantastic for clarity and wish for these on the next car. I was looking at bmw 1 series which doesn’t have to them as standard. I asked how much to upgrade to them and was again flatly refused this option. I was told again you cannot have any optional extra on any motability car regardless of dealership. Pleae can this be clarified so I can find a better option for myself.
Simon,
This is the official line from Motability:
A modification is an optional extra such as:
Spoilers
Alloy wheels
Parking sensors
Tinted windows
Car stereo
Sunroof
Air conditioning
Roof rails, bars and racks
Car alarm
You can choose factory-fitted modifications, such as air-conditioning or a sunroof when you order your car, but you must pay for these.
IS THE RANGE ROVER SPORT AVAILABLE COME APRIL 1ST? IS THE BMW 2 SALOOM ADDED TOP THE LIST?
Hi Simon, order any car via Motability and whatever options you are willing to pay for then the dealer will provide. I’ve never had any hassle.
Cheers for that. Just seems to be most dealers i meet just dont have a clue.
Simon,
An update to the Veloster availability from Hyundai UK:
At present we have no plans for this {Veloster} to be on motability, however as demand grows this can change. Motability and Hyundai have to base what they release on demand for these vehicles, especially as this is a sporty vehicle.

Hi my motabilite contract expand soon April I want kia sportage do u have any idea on this car many thanks

Hi, is metallic paint free with audi and merc on motability? Thanks
Hi.
You can only choose a metallic paint on motability so the answer is yes
Not so sure that is the correct answer,When i changed my last mobility car only 2 yrs ago,I noticed all the cars in the showroom were metallic,So asked if i could have a white car,The answer was a sure no.After going home and giving it some thought ,I decided to contact a dealer south of the border.I was somewhat amazed when the answer came back ,Any colour you want sir !,Even white” I replied,”Yes Sir” ,”Even white “,was a firm and positive answer.Armed with this i contacted someone at Motabilty,They confirmed that non matallic colours are now on the scheme but many dealerships have not yet been informed.Armed with this further info i returned to my local dealership,Needless to say ,I am a pleased and happy customer in my new white car,.
Popped into citroen dealership today to look at the ds4 dsport. Great looking car but lacks nav. Asked regarding the price of the nav as an optional extra. Dealer says you can’t have option extras on any motability car!? Is this true? As motability website itself says you can, and alot of you guys here add extras to your cars. All of this is very confusing as the dearlers are supposed to be motability experts and clearly have no clue as to what the customer can actually have and aren’t clued up regarding the scheme. Whos right here?
Simon,
I, like you, am under the impression that you can have optional extras provided it is at your own expense. This was confirmed from an email from the Motability team in a response to asking about the £25k purchase value limit. Perhaps a further engagement with the dealership, and their Motability representative is required.
Thankyou very much for your reply. Its just frustrating that no clear answer is ever given from the dealers. (Who should no the answers) Some customers may just take their word for it and never querie such answer. I do feel as its a slight let down and misleading from dealers who automatically say no. I feel more training and awareness for dealers needs to be given.
Load of rubbish your dealer is fobbing you off Mate, I Just Ordered a C3 Picasso Exclusive EGS with the optional 17 inch alloys and spare wheel, I done the same on my current C3, never been a problem with my dealer
Just been looking through the hyundai website, does anyone know why the veloster has been removed from the scheme? I feel this is a bad decision as it’s probably the best car hyundai have released period.
Woo hoo!
VW have finally released their new price list. I don’t see many changes and prices seem to be the same.
Ive already ordered our new CC.
A few people are still deciding —> Vegas.
I too had the same dilemma, and at the end of the day, I had to choose with practicality and value for money. Audi give a great car, in the form of the Q3, but you do have to pay for many of the add-ons. Same situation with Mercedes. VW, included a lot of useful kit as standard and the car felt so comfortable to drive.
It depends what you are comfortable with. I would consider the new Nissan Qashqai.
It looks awesome and in the Tekna trim, you have EVERYTHING! (well nearly everything).
You got to see yourself being able to use the car in the next three years and hope it will continue to meet your needs.
As for many of us, price is ultimately the bottom line, and many of us willing to pay the extra for our convenience, but despite Motability accounting for 10% of new car sales we still do not a strong enough voice for manufactures (as I have been with them directly in regards to model choice given to customers) to allow freedom as we paying customers. It may change in a few months or even a couple of years. We just need more people to make the manufacturers and motability know it was a successful scheme a few years ago, and why did they have to change that was not broken or working properly.
Enough of my babble, good luck to all in your new purchases and do keep posting of new information that can be shared to all!
Re VW the cars on the VW Motability list is different to what Motability are showing. Today I looked at VW website and saw that the estates are not shown, I then rang Motability who confirmed the estates are on the scheme. I then visited the VW dealer who stated they could not see the estates on their system !
Confused ?
Hi Manish, did you order the 140 bhp auto? What colour did you go for?
You are right at the end of the day it’s great value for money… The fact that leather is included and sat NAV, dab etc… It’s a good deal. With others unfortunately everything is extra. And it doesn’t seem to be easy to justify the cost. Thanks.
Hi Vegas,
i went for the 177hp manual..
they don’t this in the auto. I went for metallic black and added the rear view camera. I did test drive a 140hp model and it seemed fine but with a full car i thought its better to go for the 177hp. Good luck and let us know when you decide.
Is it just me or is it difficult to choose a motability car? I’m stuck between 3; A class 200CDI Sport, Audi Q3 2.0 diesel Quattro and the VW CC GT… Can anyone help me decide please? Any tips or input greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Vegas. Having owned the Passat ccGT for the past 3year, I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s good looking, smooth and comfortable and quick. And the DSG box is brilliant And I can’t wait till February to order my new CC GT
Hey guys. Yea I was also really interested in the VW CC GT until I saw they didn’t do the 170bhp engine in the dsg automatic. The 140bhp engine they do offer I feel would be underpowered especially well fully loaded, cant understand why as the manual 170bhp engine is available and under 2k so it should really cost more then 1k to get the auto version? should it. I really think Motability can push these car manufactures a little harder, after all we are actually paying and we do count for a large number of the cars they all sell
Is there no scope for us adding the DSG option out of our own pocket, paying the delta? List of £29395 for the manual 177 and £30870 for the DSG means that it’s a £1475 difference; a price which some might be prepared to pay!
Hi Brian, is yours the 177 or 140 bhp? Thanks for your input-I really appreciate it.
Hi
Mine is 170bhp version got mine before the model had a makeover
I am debating the same thing myself. I discounted the merc a class as the reviews are generally bad (and they all say the ride is hard). Don’t like the way the Q3 looks. For me its between a CC GT 177bhp or a BMW 318d sport. The CC has leather, xenons and sat nav as standard which the BMW doesn’t but then BMW is perceived to be a more upmarket brand and everyone says they are excellent to drive.
Would be interested in your thoughts and which way you are leaning.
Vegas,
I am in exactly the same position with choosing the right car. Out of the 3 I am strongly leaning towards the CC GT, it has the best all round spec of the 3. The Q3 is also very nice but only 2wd now available no 4×4 any longer but nevertheless a great brand with more or less the spec you would require, minus nav. The A class merc I have discounted all together just down to the underpowered 136bhp engine and only available as a a sport. You really need the amg sport which sadly is not going to happen.
The only other car I considered is the bmw 1 series m sport 120d x drive. A fabulous 184bhp engine 4wd but still lacking in leather, heated seats, parking sensors etc…. hope this helps…..
Hello , We are considering a Volvo V60 which at £999 deposit looks good value. The only reservation I have is that the boot looks small compared to other cars in the class . My wife uses both a wheelchair and a small mobility scooter. We sometimes carry both in the rear . I have no issues dropping the back seats. Does anybody have a V60 and would you recommend it.
Had a look at the merc A class today. The one I looked at was the sport but the AMG sport is the real head turner. Is there any way to spec up to the that version of the A class.
Cheers.
I’m keen on the A class – it’s a smart car with nice interior. One of the nicer cars and availability seems good too. Q3 for example has a bit of a wait on it 🙁
I looked at the 200 cdi sport. Drives nice.
Afraid not, well that is what I was told. I totally agree that the AMG kit makes it but was told by the dealer that you cannot add that kit.
Wish the new A class was more practical for me its my favourite car on the scheme right now and have to agree the AMG kitted A class is awesome I did read the kit is available to add on for £1250 but someone mentioned this is for a night package and not the AMG kit
Yes it’s on the small side… The Q3 is nice too. I can’t seem to like bmw much. Passat CC GT is a very good cost option… I hate having to wait too long for either of them… What about the new Qashqai?
Hi.
I spoke to Motability today as i was planning to extend my lease for another 6 months (already extended 6m) as nothing is really taking my fancy. Request was denied but they did tell me the BMW 2 Series is due to go on the scheme but this probably won’t happen until the 2nd Qtr.
For all those green lovers they also said that they are looking to put the i3 on the scheme too.
Hey Dobby
Did you by any chance speak to them about an increased ranged of BMW 3 series, as I would be very interested in the 320D, sadly its not on offer at the moment. I am glad that more vehicles are being added, hopefully this will make the market more competitive
Hi Ice.
Sadly nothing else is due to come on this Qtr although you never know, they could surprise us but I doubt it!
I’m due to change mid April so my choice is three cars at the mo, see if you can spot a trend….
BMW 1 Series Hatchback – M Sport
BMW 3 Series Saloon – Sport
BMW 2 series – if it goes on in the Apr price list (from what I am led to believe it will
Really unsure at the mo
Interesting choices… Did u compare the m sport 1 series to the a class? Where does the 2 series fit in? In the 3 series sport u can only apparently have the 316d-I was worried that might be underpowered-u can get 318d though but not Sport.
I had a look at the A class but Without the AMG kit it looks a totally different car.
The 2 series fits in because I have a 1 series convertible now and like the sporty look. The wife isn’t keen on a 3 door though.
The 318d sport is on the list Vegas. It’s not a great engine but better than a 1.6. I think the 3 series will win the vote
Hi, I quite fancy a panoramic sunroof. Which is the best deal for a panoramic sunroof? After spending 7 mths in hospital I quite fancy seeing some real daylight while driving… Any recommendations would be appreciated. Most cars seem to have an option at around £1000 approx which seems a lot? Thanks everyone…
Have a look at the Skoda Yeti L and K spec it is £1695 AP but very high spec and Electric Panoramic sunroof is standard…
The Exclusive+ Citroen C4 Picassos and the Tekna trim on the new Qashqai are also fitted and provide some choice. The new Qashqai has just been voted the What Car? Car of the year 2014 too.
The new skoda spaceback has options for a panoramic sunroof and have a cheap AP
Hi all.
Some great comments on here. It’s a shame that the choice is a bit limited now and I’m now due to change (although I have extended by 6 months). I currently drive a 318d Convertible and ideally would like another. Obviously not going to happen as they no longer make it 🙂
Can anyone share some info on the Golf CC as by reading the comments it looks like you can get the GTI model which is appealing! I was looking at the configuration app that Volkswagen have but it looks like leather is extra, yet I see a comment below that says this is standard?
Am going to visit next weekend but in the mean time I was hoping someone could share some info.
Thanks
James
I think the best trim on the cabrio Golf is the GT but it does have the peppy TFSI engine fitted rated at 160PS.
Thanks for the reply Steve
Over the moon ford kuga back on list. Ordered titanium x . Best car I took for test drive packed with extras including full leather interior etc.Best value and quality £50 reduction any reduction is a saving £1695 advance payment. Feel like a kid at Xmas can’t wait for May
Over the moon ford kuga back on the list ordered titaniumx packed with extras. best car I took for test drive can’t wait for May feel like a kid at Christmas. They’ve also knocked £50 off any reduction is a saving!!!
do you know when the bmw 2 series will be available and how much the ap will be.thanks
Hi David.
I spoke with BMW today and they said that it wil defo be going on the scheme but they cannot say when, probably 2nd Qtr was there guess. No idea on price but i would expect it to be around the same as the other beemers. Expect about £1700 for a entry and £2500 (maybe a little more) if they put an M Sport on the list
Can you confirm VW prices are out? Your heading has been removed and states all prices are out. I cannot see them on the VW website.
Looking to see if there is any change on the VW CC.
Thanks
http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/assets/content/buying-guide/motability-offer-golfvii.jpg try here manish then click on mobility price guide and scroll down for vw cc
Manish,
We have spoken to VW and while they apologise that the printed price list is not available (and will not be for another week) they have confirmed that the motability search tool is up to date with all the cars that are on offer this quarter.
Hi
Thanks for the replies guys, but where do I stand with placing an order.
I have emailed my dealer and awaiting a reply, and since there is no price change, in anyone’s experience could they go ahead with the order.
I don’t want to delay the process any longer.
Thanks
Manish,
Seems like you are panacking for no reason? Have you actually spoken with your local VW dealer to discuss this rather than emailing them?? Of course you can place an order. Like lots of people have advised you already, VW prices are out and correct. Just call you dealer or visit them (if you can) and they will be more than happy in taking your order…. I have had my local VW dealer chasing me a few times now since the 3rd January asking if am ready to place my order for my chosen VW CC GT, so I am not sure why you are finding this difficult to do??
Re VW golf estate I have just checked the Motability website and the new golf estate is now listed, only 1 auto with the 1.2 engine, a bit more choice with manuals.
The Leon Estate has better choice and engine. Specs pretty good too.
No Change on CC, if you want confirmation, just speak with your dealer, simple! Prices have been correct on motability website since 2nd january for VW.
Thanks Docky,
I went and placed my order today! feel relaxed and excited. What colour and options did you get?
Iv gone for metallic black and red murano seats! + paid for a rear view camera. my qashqai has it and im so used to it.
Did you get a delivery time? Iv been told about 3-4 months. :((
Does the new Qashqai tempt anyone? Some delivery times on cars are long eh… Audi say April for Q3 🙁
Deffo a contender if you’re after a small SUV; What Car? Car of the Year 2014 too!
I got to admit the vw cc is a good looking car I can see why so many like them
Yes the VW CC GT has a fantastic level of kit too.
All of these comments about ” is this car on the scheme” or “will this car be on the scheme” are pointless. Yes this website is helpful but if you want to influence the choice of available cars you SHOULD be receiving then email or write to Motability en masse. Get them to offer more automatics, get them to raise the ridiculous £25000 limit, get them to raise the AP level for those who want it, get them to police more stringently the scheme so we don’t have any more stupid Richard Littlejohn scare stories in the Daily Mail.
It’s up to us to have Motability working for us and not just pandering to political influences.
Bryan very interesting post you made there with some good points made I found a dealer called hunters offering land rovers on motability on a 3 yr contract hire obviously the AP is high but I thought there was a 25k limit with a 3k AP
here is what i found on hunters site do you think this was before rules were made
MOTABILITY CONTRACT HIRE
Anyone who has the Higher Rate Mobility Component, of the Disability Living Allowance, with at least 3 years remaining is eligible to Contract Hire a Land Rover vehicle. Whether you are a driver or a passenger, access is probably the most important consideration so it is advisable to test drive your chosen vehicle to check for suitability. Land Rover run their own scheme in parallel with Motability. I’m not quite sure of the intimate details but I understand it’s considered “outside” the scheme.
Have you ever actually spoken to Motability about this issue?
I have, on a number of occasions and I get the feeling they just couldn’t care less.
Hi amec thanks for info I have never spoken to motability about this issue but think its a good idea that land rover run there scheme parallel with motability im all for people having more choices available and theres plenty of choice from defender to range rover
Email sent 😉
Hi, with the motability benefit is there the option to buy the car instead of just leasing it? Which brands offer this facility please? That way if I add lots of extras I can keep the car for longer maybe? Thanks
Vegas
You can buy the car off Motability at the end of the lease. You phone them up 3 months before the lease ends, you ask for a quote as it what the car is worth. It depends on the mileage for what the car is worth.
Can anyone tell me if the advanced payment has been reduced on the nissan qashqai +2 old model?
I ordered the qashqai + 2 1.5dci 110 360 5d (special edition) and the advanced payment was £699 . I am due to pick my car up on 17 th Jan 2014 and saw many of the old models haved been reduced and wondered if my car will be reduced too
The price has been reduced to £349 but sadly you will have to pay the £699 agreed when you signed the contract, prices can go up as well as down unfortunately. Ask the dealer if there is anything they can do to help, you never know.
I know I’m a bit late realising this but since Chevrolet are no longer on the list that means no Captiva 4×4. The choice for a big 4×4 is pretty much none existent now apart from maybe the Nissan X Trail but as people may know that is due for replacement soon and I on’t think the new one will be on here somehow. I know there is a price limit on cars but, let’s just take the VW CC for a minute that car is pretty much £30k so I had a little browse and there is still big 4×4’s that are around that price the Kia Sorrento springs to mind and it is a good car according to the reviews. I’m probably missing a few more and I’m sure someone will point them out, but it seems to me if you need space and 4×4 your choice is limited to a four wheel drive crossover like the Ford Kuga or Hyundai IX35 oh and of course the Nissan Qashqai, which are fine cars but not as roomy as they would appear on the outside. The only choice I can see is the Skoda Superb estate which s a very nice car and well put together but it’s not a SUV. What are your thoughts on this I’d be interested to see if anyone has had to make compromises to have a 4×4 car.
The Mitsubishi Outlander remains, sadly no Automatic choice:
Outlander 2.2 DI-D GX2 4WD 5-seat £1,699.00
Outlander 2.2 DI-D GX3 4WD 7-seat £1,799.00
Outlander 2.2 DI-D GX3 Leather 4WD 7-seat £1,999.00

Keep hassling Motability by email and their magazine letters page. One day they may take notice of their customers!!!!!
Hi all, has anyone transferred a personalised registration to their motability car? A dealer last week advised against this and said that he knows of someone who lost their personalised registration in the process of transferring. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
Vegas,
I have done it on both my motability cars; the first I did myself going through the registration retention process which, at the time I seem to remember cost about £65 and took a few hours standing about in the DVLA office. The second occasion, for our current car, the dealer transferred from car to car for a fee of £100, which included plates etc. This was a price I was prepared to pay.
Hope this helps!
I transferred a cherished plate onto a mobility car I went to my local vehicle licensing office who done it that day before my agreement ended I had the no plate put on retention and the mobility car went back on the original registration
There is no way you can lose your registration unless you sign over the rights.
I have also transferred my number plates to several cars. Basically when your transferring ensure you tick that you will retain owership of the plates.
That way when you want to either take them of or transfer them you can either ask motability to send through the retention forms (about £100) or ask dealer to do transfer.
Hi folks. Just wondering if anyone has heard of the new mazda 3 model will be on the scheme. Many thanks.
The Mazda 3 is out now and we hoped to see it added to the Scheme but we will probably have to wait until the next quarter pricing, no doubt in keeping with Mazda’s policy there will be no diesel Mazda3 on the scheme.
https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk
After speaking to mazda re same question they confirmed no 3 this quarter
hey guys I have few questions, first has anyone gone through a BMW dealer and received any discounts on extras or AP.
secondly I am really interested in getting the BMW 320d but via motability only the 318D is available, do you think it would be possible to still get it?
lastly has anyone managed to get a showroom or test drive car with a big discount, the same way a private care buyer would, as I am thinking of maybe trying to get a test drive BMW 320D for the same price as the 318D.
many thanks for any answers
Hi all,
I need to order a replacement car now and really like the look of the new Nissan Qashqai, however my local Nissan dealer reckons he will not have a demonstrator until at least the end of January. Has anyone else experienced problems viewing this car ?
Would take a chance and order it but need to be sure that the boot is big enough to take a folded wheel chair.
Call motability and explain that you can’t order until you can physically see a vehicle. You may find they are happy to extend you existing vehicle lease for a month or so to accommodate the dealer.
Hi, I went to our local Nissan dealer last week and they said new Qashqai wouldn’t b available until June. Instead they kept trying to sell me the current shape. Even when I said I wasn’t interested in the current shape he said not until June. 🙁
Which report availability for February delivery.
http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/2014-nissan-qashqai-video-car-reader-verdicts/1219665
Make that What Car? not Which…it’s not a washing machine!
We’re due to change in Q3 of this year and I am interested to see how the new QQ shapes up. I have been trawling the interweb for reviews, but there is precious little. I did note on one youtube video that a road test had been embargoed until 7 Jan 14; which must have some significance. Perhaps dates in showrooms etc. Might go and have a peek today.
Cheeky Buggers..
they obviously want to shift old stock and therefore trying to put you off.
Its a common retail tactic, and I would still order the new one. Im sure there was a comment somewhere that read Nissan were taking orders in Nov/Dec for January delivery…
I would phone Nissan UK to confirm.
Thanks for your help guys-much appreciated.
Hi my local Nissan dealer here in Lincoln is having the New Qashqai open day next sunday 26th January 2014,I am interested in the new Tekna
Thanks for all your replies, have been informed by my local Nissan dealer today that the new 2014 Nissan Qashqai will be officially launched on the 24Th of January with most dealers having a car to view/test drive on the special launch weekend 24th to 27th January
I am interested in the present shape Nissan X Trail my contract is due for renewal in April 2014 will the old shape still be available to order in April
George,
You are able to order a new car up to three months prior to the expiry date of your existing lease, just pop into the dealer and they will be able to sort everything out, dont worry about not having the PIN number as this will arrive in good time to sign the contract and is not needed to place an order.
https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk
The biggest discount we’ve had on an AP was £1000 from Mercedes. This wasn’t due to astute bargaining it was simply being offered by a particular dealer at the time so they could hit their registration targets for the quarter.
A good time to buy any car is in the last month of the quarter. Or the month before a new registration is due out.
You will not get a BMW 320d via motability it is not the dealers choice to put the sale through – Motability determine what is on the list which is negotiated at national level.
You can have haggle with a dealer, they might throw in the odd option but don’t expect any cash discounts unless you happen to get lucky like we did at Mercedes.
worya,
10% discount off the list price is offered for motability customers for any extras that are ordered with the car i.e. Leather, parking sensors, heated seats etc….
Your second and third comments are confusing!
The 318d is the most powerful engine that is available with the 3 series on the motability scheme, as you are already aware? So no you can not have a 320d…
your third comment is extremely confusing, you are not buying the car so what do you mean by a big discount? You can only order cars that are on the scheme no discounts are offered, the price you see for the lease, is the price that you pay….
Vegas your dealer dont sound too helpfull as mine bless him seemed to fall over to make sure the car we order is the right car for me to be fair.
If you speak to the dealer motabilty specialist they have a head office who had a car delivered to my house in the automatic for 3 days, I had to wait a couple of weeks but instead of charging off down a dual carriageway for 10 minutes i was able to test it in real life like reversing into my driveway at night / realizing a car without folding mirrors meant i cant park close enough to my house without the door hitting on the low wall down drive etc stuff you only remember once you get your car home and suffer for the next 3 years.
In my case sadly it means i cant have my dream car the Insignia is a wow car for little money the door mirrors and rear visibilty is hit n miss in day but at night in an unlit road you can only guess at where the road is but ill say of all the main agents Vauxhall bend over backwards or mine does to ensure the car you order is bang right for you after 3 days you should know exactly what your ordering and have no suprises
i will say the 78mpg figures are well pie in sky i managed over 3 days of mainly motorway driving at 70-80 mph an avg 42mpg over 250 miles and on one section of road around 20 miles i stuck cruise control on at 60mph reset the computer and it showed 48mpg so its not bad just a long way off 80 mpg i have to admit i expected 70mpg but could live with what i got, if your dealer dont offer the extended test drive just go to a dealer who does
Hi all, how do you go about getting an extended test drive? My dealers so far have struggled to get a test drive for half an hour eg the Q3. I had to wait until they could get one in. I thought I could just turn up and at least look at one in the showroom. They didn’t have one Q3 in the showroom.
Hi again i got the vauxhall insignia on an extended test drive today, loads of toys a cracking looking car but sadly rear view was impossible for me, mirrors are small and of a night reversing into a dark area was very difficult for me with my neck before my injury i was a HGV driver so im shocked that i felt i had no idea where each corner of the car was sadly but a cracking car to drive i only got in 100 miles 48 mpg driven mainly dual carriageway a long way off the boasted 78mpg stated in fact to be fair even at 56mph with cruise on and reset computer only gave 49mpg over a 20 mile stretch of motorway
Ive heard about the VW Tiguan but the pricelist on motability and VW sites differ anyone got any ideas please?
Hi. Donkey we took a 173bhp x-trail out yesterday flying machine so much torque . The sales guy was using it there was a baby seat in the back , trip showed 41mpg and I can’t see it’s not been thrashed so for a big 4×4 that’s amazing , have a look at the reversing cameras they guide you 1at the rear 1 on each mirror
All the toys £1699
Does the insignia have a reversing camera as an option? We’ve had this feature on a couple of cars and it’s extremely useful, not just a gimmick.
hey guys, just wondering if any one has gotten a bmw 3 series via motability and if they got any discounts on adding extra equipment or AP.
also more of a general question but would we be able to get a show room or test drive car that might be spec’d a little higher then whats available on motability for the same AP. by this I mean I would really like a BMW 320D but the range only goes upto 318D but a lot of the test drive cars are the more popular 320D and I was wondering if I could try and get it as the test drive cars are usually sold at a discount.
I up up for renewal in 5 months time but would like to know if its possible now.
many thanks
According to Peugeot today the decision was taken by motability not to include 308 auto due to previous low demand for the older auto 308s the whole new system of decisions is attrocious
Exactely the same thing as what VW said about having the RLine trim. If there isnt a demand for it, they won’t put it on the scheme. Its a shame as we a new customers miss out despite that will be paying them.
Its disgusting that motability are determined to penalise customers who either need a car with different needs catered for or want at least some specification
i used to have a 3008 diesel auto and i just want to say one word about that AMAZING i loved it very much and if i was still in the uk i would have got one every 3 years i could do london and back 3 times very economical and worth getting
Your Hyundai link downloads Peugeot for some reason
Thanks Chris, fixed now.
https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk
I need help I need to find a diesel auto with a large boot to take a mobility scooter will consider a estate car can anyone recommend anything – great site by the way I prefer this to the motability site
Passat, Mondeo, BMW 3 series touring off the top of my head
Thanks amec for reply I like all three of the cars you mention but my budget is only 1000 pound I quite like the Octavia saloon but not the estate version otherwise maybe a crossover type which are easier to get in any thoughts please
I like the Hyundai IX35 it’s a decent price now
The upside of a crossover type vehicle is ease of entry/exit.
The downside is there’s going to be a higher boot lip for you to lift the scooter up onto and those things are heavy, even when in bits. We’ve got one!
Crossovers also tend to have shallow boots (depth from front to back) and they often gain their capacity “litre” figure in height, which on the whole is useless when you trying to hump a wheelchair or scooter into the back of one.
We’ve stuck to traditional estates for this reason. The shape of the boot is as important as the volume, sometimes the volume figure alone doesn’t give the full picture. A quick search at £1000 brings up the following Auto Diesels.
Ford C-Max 2.0 TD Titanium – £895
Ford Grand C- Max – £999
Citroen C4 Picasso 1.6e HDI – £995
Volvo V60 1.6TD SE Estate – £999
Astra Estate
Seat Leon Estate
Vauxhall Zafira Estate also all within budget with diesel autos.
amec thanks again my friend you have been most helpful as I have never had a scooter before I never realised the problems a crossover might cause I was thinking entry/exit for me but not my aid I have made a list up of the vehicles and will start viewings from tomorrow.
ps I noticed the new a class mercedes is available in a diesel for £999 AP sadly its a manual and not practical for me but if it was a diesel auto I might have had to abandon the scooter
tried to view the new seat leon diesel estate yesterday and then tried another dealer today and they told me there was no dealer in uk who had the new model to view yet so went back to my Vauxhall dealers who I got my last car from and ordered a Vauxhall sports tourer in black a good spec elite model with the diesel auto all for 399 I had a 1k budget so very happy my other astra has been excellent so better the devil you know downside 12 weeks wait plus side will be a new 14 reg
get a Peugeot 3008 diesel it has a big size boot also it has 2 levels so what you can do is make it bigger when you open it also its very good on petrol i would recommend that car any day i would give it 10 out of 10
Would also recommend you look at the Ford c max or the new Focus navigator estate
Hi, can anyone confirm which models of the 3 series are still available following the new year price changes? Is a 318d available in any guise? What’s the best engine still available? Thanks
Vegas, click on the BMW logo above and it gives you a full list of every BMW available along with AP’s required.
Are there any plans for Mazda excellent CX-5 to be available in Automatic form?
Crossover SUV’s are probably the most practical vehicle for many people with mobility issues, Ease of entry/exit, large storage capacity accompanied with great visibility.
It seems absurd that a scheme designed for people with mobility problems limits the choice of a particular model to manual versions only.
Is this really so difficult for the operators to comprehend. Automatic versions of all cars on the scheme should be, well, automatic!
After speaking to Mazda myself there are no plans for the cx 5 auto
Excellent Honda dealer has sorted £500 difference between AP we paid on 31/12 and the reduced price on 01/01. Very pleased and looking forward to our first motability car for my twin boys. Excellent site!
Well done Mike. We ordered our Tiguan just before the price list changed as it was the £2999 maximum AP and we feared it would drop off the list. Rather than disappear it actually dropped by £500 and neither Motability nor the VW dealer were interested. A year later the same car is now £1899. As I’ve said before, the price and availability of cars fluctuates wildly from price list to price list, even when the list price and availability is unaltered. This doesn’t happen in the conventional vehicle leasing world, so I am at a loss as to why Motability pricing and availability is so volatile.
Price volatility will be directly related to the number of vehicles currently in production, the previous quarters sales, new model lines/facelifts, outgoing model lines and facelifts. Prescense on the streets and market share. The list goes on.
Motability is the single biggest buyer of new cars in the UK, they account for 10% of all new cars sold here annually, To that end the manufacturers can use the scheme to supplement their sales if they need to.
As the scheme evolves and personal PCP agreement and contract hire arrangements become far more accessible, the advantages of the motability scheme are not as great as they used to be.
We’re likely to opt out at the end of our contract this spring and “buy” our own car through PCP finance.
Your earlier comment highlighted the anomaly in residual values between premium and mainstream brands. This is most obvious with Mercedes and the E class.
We’re looking to buy a 2014 E220CDI auto AMG Sport Estate. List price somewhere north of £40,000
We require a modification to the front passenger seat raising it 50mm to help entry/exit. This removes the VAT element.
For three years contract hire we’ve been quoted £348 a month at list with zero deposit including a 3 year service package. Directly from Mercedes.
Going through a broker like Drive the deal will reduce this further to sub £300.
Of course you have to insure the vehicle, but if you’re in the market for an AP of £2999, then insurance shouldn’t be a deal breaker.
Hi Amec, that’s an interesting post. Did you negotiate that with Mercedes directly? That sounds great and also it opens up the cars that are a available to you. I’m particularly interested in tha approach/thought – e.g. that E class sounds like an awesome deal. When I talk to dealers they normally sell motability very well ie it’s amazing value and you couldn’t possibly motor any better.
We got that deal with Mercedes Croydon (who are Mercedes factory owned, not a franchise).
The E class is a particularly good deal on this particular form of finance as the current offers from Mercedes are good and the residuals are very strong.
The VAT reduction effectively covers the entire deposit and some, you just have to steer clear of the options list, which quite frankly, on an E class you don’t need anything extra anyway.
Most dealers are willing to help, explain you’re looking at opting out of the scheme and require a modification to the car (for which you’ll have to pay) that then means you can buy VAT free.
The dealer should be able to give an indication.
We asked for figures on a B220 CDI Sport and an E220cdi Sport Auto Estate. The way the finance and residuals worked meant the E class was less money over three years.
In my first post above it should read for a 3 year PCP agreement and not contract hire, it effectively a personal finance agreement not a private contract hire. Legally different things but in effect the same outcome.
You pay for 36 months then hand the car back – but you are responsible for it’s conditions and insuring it.
Hi Amec, thanks so much for that. Do u think I can get a similar deal even if I don’t need a modification? I really appreciate your help on this. Thanks
The modification is the key as it removes the VAT. Which is a such a large lump of money that it makes an expensive car, a lot less expensive over 36 months.
Without the VAT relief you’re buying a car on normal terms available to the public.
VW Prices are out on the website now. no need to view through a PDF, and there seems little change if any!
Completely agree with Tiguan below!
Disabled drivers do get the short straw when it comes choice.
Apologies, they seem to be down when viewed through a laptop, but when accessed through a mobile on the mobile version it is showing the prices.
oh dear,
I feel terrible, its not out.. I just clicked a link for the Inchcape VW dealership who is showing last quarters price… :((
sorry everyone
All up to date 2014 prices are on the motability website they have been since the 2nd Jan….
I visited my local audi dealer and was told I could order a Q3 S Line 4×4 in December. Even though the date I was due to order my next car was January. The order was placed in December & I’ve paid a deposit. Now the 4×4 Q3 S Line is no longer on the scheme. Where do I stand now?
Ian,
Home and Dry, your order is in the system and you will get your car. You are able to order a new car three months prior to the end of your contract.
https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk
Any word on the VW list?
They mention Q1 2014 on their website but the link brings you to the old list.
Great to see that common sense seems to have prevailed at Motability and cars up to £2999 advance payment are now shown again on their website. Let’s hope that this is a permanent feature and not an oversight, as restricting visibility to cars up to £1999 when the limit is £2999 was ludicrous and was a cause of considerable inconvenience to customers. BMW has seen sense also and now shows all available cars up to the maximum AP of £2999.
The dreadful new ‘improved’ search tool on the Motability website remains, with customers having to deselect every single option in turn (with a delay between each and every deselection as the list updates), rather than a far more logical ‘select what you are interested in and then press go’ facility, as was the case on their previously superb website.
In the spirit of balanced feedback it was impressive that Motability and the majority of manufacturers updated their lists on 1st Jan given that it was a public holiday. Even more impressive that this website did the same when, unlike the manufacturers, they have nothing to gain commercially from doing so.
I do feel that the selection of cars available seems somewhat illogical. Some makes have almost all variants available, yet others have very restricted choices – even if below the £25k plus auto / 4wd / estate variant limit. The implication that ‘this version is all you need and anything else is unwarranted for you disabled folk’ is at best insulting and at worse discriminatory.
I also feel that Motability should raise the £25k limit to £30k. £25k is not a lot of money for a new car these days and given that the customer pays for the additional cost through AP this shouldn’t be an issue. There also seems to be a lack of understanding or thought into varying residual values. Whilst a £25k Ford would probably be worth £10k after 3 years, representing a loss of £15k, a £30k BMW would be worth £20k, a loss of just £10k.
Sadly, the Richard Littlejohn Daily Mail article of a few years back caused Motability to knee jerk and react to the detriment of disabled drivers. They showed considerable weakness in doing so and I hope that the inclusion of the full range of cars is the first of many signs of Motability regaining its confidence in representing the interests of disabled drivers and showing the leadership that we expect of it.
Well said Tiguan…. I’ve been saying similar on this site for six months now.
I’ve even had Motabilty P.R. ringing me at home regarding similar comments I made directly to them. It’s going to be a slow process but I would encourage everyone to keep typing away on this and the Motability customer site. They’ll realise eventually !!
I agree Tiguan, I find it somewhat disappointing that certain cars with list prices below £25k are excluded by some manufacturers; perhaps the profit margin for them is minimal or the demand far outweighs supply?
Is £25k a realistic limit for the lease plan? On the whole most bases are covered although I agree that there is a lack of choice in some areas. However, I would be interested to understand the benefit of raising the bar to £30k+; what benefit to the choice at what cost to the customer.
Totally agree Tiguan. The Littlejohn article was totally inaccurrate and portrayed disabled people as getting ‘free cars’ when that is not the case. He forgot to mention that higher spec cars require a hefty advance payment, payed for buy the customers themselves. The fact that disabled people would get the money if they didn’t have a car on the scheme, escaped his mind. The scheme is no further burden on the tax payer, regardless of whether they have a car or not.
The thing that bugs me about the current Motability site is that you can’t search by bhp any more. There are lots of steep hills around here and it’s so annoying to have to sift through the details of every promising car only to discover it’s only got 105bhp – that wouldn’t get up my road with two people in it (I know because the first car my Driving Instructor provided was a 100bhp Corsa and it kept stalling on the hill when *he* was driving! Had to use the 140bhp for me and we weren’t particularly heavy people).
Hi, was hoping that there might be a 3 series Touring on the list in the Sport version and as a diesel. In past quarters there have been BMWs available that were not on the published list, do you think there may be other touring versions available this quarter.
Sorry John, What you see is all you can get.
https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk
Hi, I was expecting the vw golf estate to be included in this new quarter, but it appears not to be. Shame really as my wife’s car is up for renewal mid march and it was a hot favourite.
VW still haven’t released their price list.
Hi I noticed the skoda Octavia 1.6 s tdi has been removed from the motability site pricing and only the 2.0 model octavias available I also noticed theres the new skoda rapid spacebook available in the 1.6s tdi do you think this is why theres no 1.6 octavia
Hi Stephen, i’ve checked the motability web site and the 1.6 s tdi is still on there m8.
Hi neil thanks for reply I see it has jumped in price from 295 to 495 ap very disappointing
The manual is 195 ap you must be on about the automatic that’s 495.
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me please? I currently have a Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, which I’ve had for 5 years (very low mileage) but I’ve had so many problems with it that I can’t wait to see the back of it. I need an automatic with a 1.8 or 2.0 engine that is capable of towing 1500-1800kg. I also need a higher seat height, similar to the car I’ve got at the mo. I’ve been looking at the Honda CRV and the Mercedes B Class but wonder whether it would be worth looking at any other similar cars? I need quite a big boot space to accommodate my scooter and luggage. A 4×4 would be ideal but not essential. I suffer from chronic fatigue amongst many other medical problems and going out to look at cars just fills me with dread because it’s so hard just to be able to get through a “normal” day. I don’t want to appear ungrateful because I’m not, I think motability offer a fantastic service. I’m hoping that someone else may be in a similar situation or knows quite a bit about the current MPV/SUV/4×4 cars available that could point me in the right direction please? Any advice or suggestions or recommendations would be gratefully received and much appreciated. Thanks guys. Jo 🙂
Joanne,
We would recommend that you look at the big cars on the Scheme, The VW Saharan and the Ford Galaxy, both offer a 2.0 litre 140bhp diesel unit paired with an excellent Automatic gearbox and both are capable of towing your van and there is lots of room as they are both 7 seat cars with rear seats that fold completely flat, both are extremely comfortable cars.
https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk
Take a look at the Ford Kuga now back on the Scheme
Joanne,
We had a C4 Grand Picasso for our first Motability car and whilst not the most exciting car to drive it has a certain appeal with regards to space, comfort and technology at the price. We only had one problem with ours to do with the rear air suspension going into fault which the dealer sorted swiftly and motability provided a courtesy car for the duration; great service. A good example of the quality of the car was the driver’s seat bolster; the foam inside collapsed after 2 years. On approaching Citroen, they informed me it was not covered under warranty at the 2 year point! Perhaps a sign that the quality of the car is only skin deep?!?!
Great to see so many manufacturers updating their Q4 pricing lists. Shame on the other that haven’t! (VW and Audi) uh hum..
Iv been waiting all day today to see an updated list. (well actually since early Dec)
My renewal is due in a couple of weeks and looking to get the VW CC ?
Shame I can’t get the R-Line trim, but what are people’s thought on this car? (I am going diesel btw)
I myself was trying to decide between the CC GT 177BHP Diesel and the BMW 3 series. The CC is loaded as standard you get leather, satnav (although a rubbish one) and xenon lights. It is a comfortable motorway cruiser but not much fun to drive. Although I now see that the BMW 318d Sport has been added for the same price so personally will go with the BMW as its a much better car to drive, and a more premium feel. Only downside for me would be the lack of leather interior.
I would definitely recomend you consider the BMW 3 series and maybe even the Audi Q3 if you are in the market for a CC.
Hi Billy,
I do agree that Bmw in all are a fabulous brand, but in all honesty to compare the 177bhp VW CC GT with the extremely basic and under powered 145bhp BMW 3 Series 318 d sport saloon is unfair. It is not just leather that the BMW is lacking….:
full leather
heated seats
parking sensors
18 inch alloys
sat nav (which is as good as any new tom tom)
Adaptive chassis control
Electric drivers seat with lumbar support
Ambient lighting pack
Xenons and led lighting
the vw cc gt has all the above and more for less of the advance payment than bmw want.
We’ll said Danny
Hi, my dealer said the 318d is no longer available in the Sport variant as of the new year.
Hi. I have had the cc GT 2.0 with the DSG box for almost 3 years now , and it’s an exellent car, comfortable, quiet! and fast and had no issues whatsoever
Hi Brian,
What car would you have next? Seeing that your extremely pleased with the CC GT, what will/would be your next choice?
Im curious just simply because it will be a hard car to beat in terms of price and specification?
Hi Danny
No question about it I will be having another cc GT when I order again in February, it’s got everything I need including a big boot and it looks good
Hi Brian,
what mpg have you been averaging in your cc? I presume you have the 177bhp manual? Just about to order but I am trying to better the miserable 40mpg that my 165bhp astra has been returning me over the last 3 years!
Brian,
Is that the 2.0 petrol or diesel? Whilst I know diesel makes financial sense, for our annual mileage of <8000 miles per year, I fancy the thought of the "GTI" engine! There is precious little on the internet reviewing it though, unless you go stateside, when they usually go for the V6.
Hi manish,
I have been looking at the CC GT 170 bhp for most of December. I have test driven both the 140 and 170 bhp in manual and auto. I was going to order the CC GT 170bhp a couple of days before the 31st Dec but thought id wait untill the new quarter. Out of all the cars I have looked at the CC GT is probably the most luxurious and well specked car that I have come across, it is a big car but feels nice to drive, ok not as exciting as an equivalent BMW but you do not get any of the specification with any of the BMW’s on the scheme. I actually called motability operations on the 31st Dec and they actually confirmed that the CC GT was definitely on the new list. Also if you search the motability website you will see that it is now showing on the list. (Yes I know the list is not actual accurate but I believe they are getting there act together as there are now 200+ cars more than there was on the 31st Dec)
Im just making sure that I really cant get better value for money before I order, but I truly believe that you won’t beat the CC GT!
Hi guys,
Thanks for your reply and I totally agree with your views.
Having owned one and driven it for three years, who better than you to get an insider view.
I am like a kid at Christmas, can’t wait to order and have mine delivered.
Above, Danny you have mentioned that there is the ambient lighting pack, but I do believe that is an optional extra.
roll on 2014!
Manish,
yes you are correct, my error the ambient lighting is extra. So what are you going to have? If the CC GT what colours are you considering? as this is the only thing I am stuck on before I order!
Hi Danny!
just had a test drive of the cc gt and boy was it good!
we drove a candy white model and it looked awesome but it gets too dirty.
im going to go for the reflex silver! With full. Black leather and ebony wood inserts. The satin silver finish in the test cat was very nice too. The car feels really well made and premium quality. I night also add the reversing camera. Rear view is terrible. And having had it on my qashqai im so used to it!
i was told i might have to wait a few days as the price list will be out today or tomorrow and then he will proceed with paperwork!
cant wait!!!
How do u no if the vw cc rline ant on the schem as ther price list is not out yet
Fra,
The RLINE CC is definitely not available spoke with dealer and motability VW listing is bang up to date. The CC GT 210bhp or 177bhp diesel is the best your going to get. Its just shy of 30k so represents great value for money on the scheme.
Yep Danny you’re absolutely right. I sent lots of emails to vw customer care and eventually got told in the nicest way possible that disabled people don’t create a demand for the RLine range and therefore its not going to be on the scheme.
Can u get the cc gt in the 177bhp with auto as I ask the dealer he told me u can only get the 140 or 210
Hi Frank, I was told today that in auto diesel only the 140 is available
Hi, I’m gutted about the A3 saloon… I’m currently stuck between a B class, A3 sportback, and the much loved 3 series. Any tips or input that might help me decide would b much appreciated. I love the A class but the boot space seems too small. Help? Thanks… I don’t know why but the 3 series doesn’t seem to excite me much even though it’s an awesome car on paper.
You are choosing between three of the best cars on the market, we wish we could help but feel we would only be making your decision more difficult, but the A3 has been reduced in price this quarter.

The A3 sportback engines now available seem limited I.e. As of the new price list. Therefore I think the Audi remaining on the list is the Q3 Quattro S-line.
Am I missing something with Audi? Why get rid of the S Line Q3 4×4 the list price is the same so i don’t get this, it is like we aren’t allowed decent spec 4x4s
John,
There has been long delays with the Q3 of up to six months, we are sure it is nothing more sinister than a production delay issue.

Thanks for the reply about the Q3 I forgot about those delays it just seemed odd that the SE was available, but there is still a lack of full size 4x4s which is a shame. i hope some come back to the scheme.
Hi im new to scheme needing a medium sized (mondeo insignia or passat)
I can manage a manual car and wanted a diesel realy good fuel but more important is comfort seats what you you suggest please? i notice no prices for VW
Sir,
From the three cars mentioned, the Vauxhall Insignia offers the most fuel efficient diesel engine and is the freshest looking of the three as it has been updated this year, the reports on comfort have been excellent but you need to sit inside the car yourself to make sure it is right for you.
https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk
I would suggest you drive all 3 as comfort is a subjective thing. What might be acceptable to some might not be good enough for others. Since you are looking at the Passat, if you can stretch your budget to a Passat CC GT, reviews claim it is a very comfortable car. (search Bob Flavin VW CC on youtube)
My brother has just received a new Insignia 2.0 TDI techline with the new 140PS as a company car; the engine which seems very frugal. I have no exact figures yet however with my Astra 2.0 TDI (168PS) getting about 57.7mpg on a 70mph motorway run I would say he is topping that and driving a little more enthusiastically; not bad for a bigger car which looks a great improvement on the old model and is comfortable, has some nice tech inside and Vauxhall are usually fairly good value on the scheme.
You may also which to look at the Skoda Superb; the Greenline III engines turn in respectable figures and it’s a good sized, comfortable alternative.
Thanks for the prompt reply, also just querying any news from vw?
Am I missing something with Audi why get rid of the S Line 4 wheel drive the car’s list price hasn’t gone up, that’s crazy it seems like we aren’t allowed top spec 4 wheel drives
Hi,
Any news on what vw beetles have been released and how much please?
First time with motability, do you know if we can do anything about the Ap reducing overnight by £500 on the CR-V? Thanks
Mike,
Talk to the Honda Dealer initially and most importantly don’t panic. We are here to help in any and every way.

We ordered a Honda CR-V SR diesel yesterday, 31/12, on notability, got everything crossed that the advance payment hasn’t been reduced from today!
Beautiful car that is over engineered, AP £2499.

Have Mazda and Audi released their price guide yet ?
Chris, nothing from Mazda as yet, Audi have increased the A1 out of hand by up to £500, no A3 Saloon, and the Q3 has increased by up to £500 and the 4wd Sline has been axed. Not all bad news as the A3 hatch has been reduced by £400.

@ Bryan. If manufacturers are unwilling to release their more profitable models onto the scheme then what are motability meant to do about it? They are providing a not for profit service which works rather well. Of course if people feel that they can get better value elsewhere for their DLA payments then they are free to do so.
George, Motability is a Big Voice with a huge influence…. if their members shouted loud enough then something could be changed.
Motability can exclude manufacturers from their scheme.. something manufacturers would prefer not to happen.
Stop being negative!!
Looking at a Skoda superb estate 170 dsg 4×4 is that going to be available and price
Yes – in top of the range Elegance trim with an Advance Payment of £2495, no change from last quarter.

Nissan prices are out -both new and old qashqai are available
Hello does anyone know if the VW CC GT 170bhp and the BMW 120D Msport XDrive will still be on the list to order from Jan 2014?
Many Thanks.
Not sure about the CC GT but the new BMW prices are out and the 120d M sport XDrive is still on for 1799 for a manual
New Mazda 3 will not be available in January, new qashqai will be according to manufacturers
Hi, do you think the 3 series bmw will disappear from the motability list in Jan 2014?Also do you think the audi A3 saloon will become available? Thanks
Hello, please can you kindly let us know if you have any information on the Volkswagen Tiguan DSG (automatic) models since these appear to have disappeared off the Motability website since today. Also they are missing from the new 2014 Motability Price List on their website. Is it worth trying to purchase one within the next few days or just wait for the full updated price list? Many thanks.
Oh yes, nearly forgot, there’ll be lots of minis and BMW 1series available…..just the ticket for us folk with mobility problems who have no problems getting in and out of those cars!!!!!!
is there a reason why bmw don’t list all the models that are available to motability customers ie 316/318 dsport auto not listed, but when you ask the local dealer they say these are available,it says on the motability site to ask your dealer, just wondeed why they don’t list all the models to us first.
Do you have any info on the bmw 3 series such as ant other models added last quarter the 316/8 d sport auto was on with a 2899/2999 advance payment, any changes to adv payment or other models added
Dream on kidda.
Hi David, my dealer told us that the Sport ie 318d Sport is no longer available ie as of the new year. Do you know if this is correct? Thanks
Predictions…. Lots of diesel manuals, no small petrol automatics, few large SUV’s and fewer auto ones, lots of sub £25000 cars unavailable on the scheme because they’re still popular with private buyers eg. Higher spec Skodas, VW Golfs, sporty Focus’s etc. Yup, Motability is customer focused.
