Kia Prices remain unchanged apart from the Automatic Kia Soul which has been reduced by £299 and is now available without a deposit. A new Kia Soul will be released in 2014
Every now and then Volvo add the V60 and V70 estate to their range, which they have done again this quarter, but this time they have added extra Diesel engines in addition to the D2 we are treated to the D3, D4 and even the 215bhp D5 to the V70.
The Ford Kuga is still suffering from delays and is not on the scheme, Focus models now have the option to add a Navigator pack to the standard Zetec for £100 which includes a Sat nav, the Titanium models now include this as standard.
New Volkswagen prices sees a £100 price rise in the Golf, £100 off the Tiguan and the super CC stays on the scheme in all forms.
Peugeot have kept the wonderful RCZ on the scheme, in fact we can’t find a price change from the previous quarter.

Movers, Shakers and New cars
Fiat 500L Trekking
The Trekking is super value and with its raised height and advanced traction control system and winter tyres it will keep you moving through the British winter, despite only having drive to the front wheels. The brake assist system is a nice bonus too.
Citroen C4 Picasso
The all new C4 Picasso is out now with the seven seater to follow in early 2014. Great looking car loaded with electronic gadgetry. Realistic advance payments too for a new model, sadly the semi automatic gearbox remains for those needing an automatic.
Nissan Note
The New Nissan Note comes with a new supercharged 1.2 litre three cylinder petrol unit available with a CVT automatic gearbox or a 1.5 diesel that can return 78 miles per gallon. The new dynamic styling is aimed at opening up the Note to whole new audience, a trick it pulls off. Released now with realistic pricing and well worth a look.
Kia Carens
The Carens is a seven seater, half estate car and half MPV, with this new car Kia has scrapped the sober looks of the old car in favor of a stylish redesign that incorporates the brand’s new design. One model of the Carens sneaked onto the scheme, the 1.7 litre diesel manual in ‘2’ trim with an Advance Payment of £1999 but we hope to see additional models available hopefully with an Advance Payment that is competitive.
Dacia Duster
The Sandero hatchback and Sandero Stepway have joined the scheme but we still await the arrival of the excellent Duster, we live in hope but are concerned that the pricing might not make us as happy as it should judging by the Sandero pricing.
Suzuki SX4 S-Cross
It’s all change for the SX4. The new model is significantly bigger than the car it replaces and has grown in size enough to rival the likes of the Skoda Yeti and Nissan Quashai.
Ford Kuga
The Kuga was withdrawn from the scheme due to production delays, we hope it will return this quarter as it offers improved ride, space and equipment in a competitively priced package.
Vauxhall Antara
The Antara was withdrawn last quarter without warning and we look forward to its return as when priced well it makes an excellent tow car or affordable four wheel drive option.
Hyundai ix35
The ix35 has been face- lifted, the major change is a new headlight arrangement with LED running lights and improved steering and suspension, the addition of new trim levels has sadly made it less of a bargain.

Happy New Year everyone!
can you tell me if any bmw 3 series diesel automatics will be on q1 jan 204 and what advance payments will be
Hi my husband gets motability, but he doesnt drive. We have a picasso p/c but due for renewal in feb 2014. The picasso is really comfortable for my husband to travel in ( he has a muscle wasting disease) the high seats prevent his legs from aching too much. However i would like a different make of car. Are there any 4×4’s we could get without having to pay anything upfront, or high seated cars? Thanks
Michelle,
The 4×4’s beyond the smallest cars all require an advance payment, the best value of these is is the Skoda Yeti, the best of the two wheel drive cars that are available without a down payment is the Peugeot Partner Tepee, Vauxhall Meriva and the Skoda Roomster.

Can someone tell me how long did you have to wait for your car since ordering? I ordered 31st of October and Arnold Clark Fiat is not even able to give me estimated delivery date 🙁 If I knew it is gonna be so long I would have chosen a different car as now I really struggle to drive manual. And Arnold Clark salesman is not really happy about me calling him every 2 or 3 weeks “harrasing” him.
Magdalena,
The wait for a new car can depend on demand and production issues but the average wait is between 6-8 weeks, you have every right to ask your dealer for a date and they should inform you in detail. We would recommend that if this is not the case then a call to the most helpful Motability Customer Services team explaining the situation will have the desired effect, the freephone number is 0800 0931000.

Hi,
I am looking to renew in January and was looking to get the VW CC. Do you reckon the VW CC R-Line 2.0TDi will available? Its a cosmetic upgrade (for £650.00) compared to the normal CC GT 2.0TDi. Will Motability customers be able to get this.
Mark
Hi i am coming to the end of my mptability contract and i wouldlike to know if anyone could tell me if the new alfa romeo guiletta will be added to the scheme because i asked the dealer and he doesnt have a clue and stuff because i had orderd the giulietta and then i heard about the new one and wanted to see if it would be added if anyone could help me or give me dealers of the new cars Being added for next qauter would be amazin thank you.
Louy,
The original press release promised the New Guiletta MY2014 to be into dealers by November but the latest news is ‘early in the new year, so we would expect the January prices to reflect the upgraded car. The changes are evolution over revolution and the wondeful external lines remain:
New 150 HP, 380 Nm 2.0 JTDM 2 engine
New Uconnect infotainment system with 5″ or 6.5″ Radionav touchscreen
New front grille, chrome-plated frame of the foglights and brand-new 16”, 17” and 18” wheels
New exterior colours: Moonlight Pearl, Anodizzato Blue and Bronze
New wrap-around seats with new trim, new steering wheels and new treatments for the dashboard, door panels and handles
New storage and luggage compartments

Any idea if the new BMW Series 2 will be on the scheme when it comes out?
Richmond,
The BMW 2 Series is released in March 2014. We can’t say if it will come straight onto the Scheme in March or come onto the Scheme after the initial retail sales have died down or it may not even come onto the Scheme at all, sorry for being so very vague.

Any ideas out there. I am looking for high driving position, good allround visibility. Rear seats that fold completely flat. I have a dream to go camping and sleep in the back. And yes.. mpg of 55 plus. Currently drive a c3 picasso but several breakdowns have knocked my confidence in this brand. Yes I have breakdown cover but it still take time and I need reliability.
Katy,
The new Nissan Note offers all you wish for with bundles of driver comforts and would be our first choice: https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk/nissan-note/
Also the Kia Venga: https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk/kia-venga-motability-car/
The offers on the larger but excellent Skoda Yeti are very good this quarter: https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk/skoda-yeti/
The Ford C-MAx is i lettle more expensive at £195 https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk/ford-c-max/
The Vauxhall Meriva 1.3td is a good deal: https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk/vauxhall-meriva/

Katy,
On a recent camping trip we witnessed a family of three turn up in their Citroen Berlingo and when they flipped the boot lid it was amazing, there was a pull out cooker, trays and draws for everything they needed, they put up a drive away awning/tent and happily slept in the car, I intended to have a word with them in the morning but they were packed and moved on in in the time it took me to get showered.

Currently drive a c3 picasso but several breakdowns have knocked my confidence in this brand. Yes I have breakdown cover but it still take time and I need reliability.
Help needed
We ordered a BMW 1 series at the begin if of September and paid the £500 deposit the dealer requested and we where given an estimated delivery of 1st of October . We where them contacted by the dealer and told that delivery would now be week commencing the 14th of October. Since then the dealer rang me on Friday the 11th to tell me there is now a further delay and could be looking at the 1st of November for delivery. The predicament I am in is we are having to sell the old car to raid the rest of the advance payment . This car has been sold and the new buyer has been brilliant. He understood out situation and has been willing to wait to take the car from us.. So given the fact delivery date was fast approaching we decided on Wednesday the 9th to let the new owner take delivery as we thought we could manage for a few days with out a car . So to review the phone call from the dealer to advise of the new delay has come as a big blow.. The help I need is do I have the right to ask the dealer for them to supply me a car until the new one arrives .. Or is it just hard luck in my behalf .. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Mark
Mark,
We would recommend talking to Motability, freephone 0800 0931000, and explaining the situation to them, they are really very understanding, they will handle everything for you and may wish to speak to the dealer on your behalf, it is not hard luck and do not worry.

Help needed
We ordered a BMW 1 series at the beginning of September and paid the £500 deposit the dealer asked for .. Ordered a standard car with no options, the dealer give us an estimated delivery date of 1st October as September went on we where advised that there would be a new delivery date of week beginning 14th October , to our dismay we received a phone call on Friday 11th of October saying that there is now another 2 week delay in delivery , this has now left us on a predicament as we had to sell the old car to cover the rest of the advance payment . The person who was buying our old car has been very patient on understanding our situation . With our delivery date getting closer we finally let the old car got to the new buyer on Wednesday as we thought we could manage a few days with out a car.. But now with the new delay we are going to be left much longer .. The dealer customer service has been nothing but shocking in keeping us upto date with updates .. Are the dealer now responsible of giving us a loan car until the new one arrives or do I have to put this down to a bad experience and just have to cope for the next couple of weeks and hope there is not another delay .. Any advice given would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks
Mark
Apologies for posting twice the first one said it could not post due to internet connection
My car is due for replacement in early 2014 and I am finding it difficult to find a replacement car that suits my needs due to my spinal injury:
I need:
– A SUV-style car for the high seating position
– 4×4 function as I live in a hill and will be unable to get up in snow
– Automatic as it is uncomfortable to continually use the clutch
– Proper back seat to accommodate three large teenagers especially as my seat is almost fully back as I’m over 6 foot tall
– A reversing camera as I find it painful to twist round in my seat to look out the back window
– Cruise control
The most suitable car I’ve been able to find is the Nissan Qashqai +2 or the Honda CRV but unfortunately, Nissan are due to replace the Qashqai +2 before the replacement date. It is a shame that under the Motability scheme the car choice has been limited to a maximum advance payment of £3,000 as it excludes all the large 4×4 cars, which would be most likely to meet my needs. For example, I would benefit greatly from an electrically adjusted driver’s seat so I can get the optimum seating position.
Can you advise me on any cars I haven’t thought of that meet these criteria as I do think I’ve looked at all the compact SUVs on the list.
Thanks for your help.
Richard,
The Nissan X-Trail in n-tec+ trim offers all you wish for apart from an automatic gearbox, the Chevrolet Captiva automatic is a seven seat 4×4 at £2999 Advance payment but only has reversing sensors, the LTZ with a built in reversing Camera is not on the Scheme. The new X-Trail will be the QQ+2 replacement in Spring 2014, but there is no guarantee that it will be on the Scheme with an automatic gearbox. The recently upgraded Hyundai ix35 is the largest of the Compact SUV’s and should fit your family, it is available with four wheel Drive, 6 speed Automatic gearbox, sat nav and reversing camera and heated rear and front seats, hill decent assist and hill start assist, combined mpg of 41.5, not the fastest but the 134 bhp 2.0 litre diesel will reach 62mph in 12.1 seconds. Advance Payment £2999.

Will the BMW 318D Touring in either SE or sport be available now or in the near future in a auto please ?
Jan,
As a manual the 318d SE is available at £2399 AP, as an automatic only the 316d SE at £2699 AP.
I am deeply concerned at the increasing difficulty in finding out which cars are available on the Motability scheme with advanced payments over £2000 and am convinced that they will disappear altogether over the next few years.
As many people will now know, the new ‘improved’ car search (which is a massive retrograde step in that you have to deselect options one by one, which takes ages), no longer shows any car with an advanced payment over £2000. In addition, some car manufacturers, for reasons best known to them, don’t publish which cars are available with advanced payments over £2000 (hang your heads in shame BMW and Audi).
Motability, in a spineless reaction to the Daily Mail brigade, are doing their damnedest to get every car below £2000 by making it so hard to find those between £2-3k that fewer and fewer will be ordered. Mark my words – in a few years time they will state that “so few customers are now ordering cars with advanced payments over £2000 we have decided that it is no longer economical to include them in the scheme”. You heard it here first.
What makes me livid about this is the assumption that all disabled people don’t ‘need’ a car of that value and should be content with a lower priced vehicle. Before being entitled to a Motability vehicle, I was running cars around £40k in value. OK, not everyone can afford to do that, but I work damned hard and have responsibilities that would keep most people awake at night. My income reflects that and I will use it as I see fit. This isn’t a communist country and we all earn different salaries for different reasons. If I am prepared to spend £3k of my hard earned cash, in addition to the full DLA /PIP entitlement, on a lease car that I will just hand back after 3 years, then I should have as much right to do that as someone who is happy to get a car with no advanced payment.
Are we really living in a country where disabled people may end up only having what they ‘need’ and not what they ‘would like’?
+1
completely agree!
Well said Tiguan, who really cared about what Littlejohn said anyway? If he didn’t say that he probably would have had a go at another group of people. And your right motability over reacted to our detriment, we are the losers here no on else. We should be given a choice like we had before.
Hi,
I think you expressed this very well & I totally agree with you!
I’ve had Audi cars for some years (on & off Motability scheme). They’ve proved reliable, comfortable & user friendly for me personally. I now need & would love a Q3 as it’s higher off the ground & so easier to get in & out of. Automatic is essential for my current needs as are a number of features on the S-Line model. However, Motability have very few Audis on the scheme now & have excluded the S-Line automatic. Despite my giving a very detailed report on why I need the features included on this car, they are saying I can only have one from the list. Also, I would have to add a lot of money to the deposit to obtain all the ‘extras’ I need, whereas it would be cheaper & more sensible for me to have the S-Line.
I have heard from one garage that some drivers have asked Motability for a car that’s not on the scheme & have actually had this agreed…
Surely an automatic car would be more beneficial to most disabled people & yet there are only a limited number of models on the scheme.
I feel that we are being discriminated against & providing we accept paying the deposit, we should be able to have whatever car we want. Some people just want 4 wheels to get from A to B & aren’t interested in cars. They may not need any particular features & may not wish to pay a deposit. We should all be allowed to make a choice the same as able bodied people can.
My needs extend to wanting a car that I find comfortable to drive & feel safe in. I love cars & driving & would rather pay more money towards the right car than have a holiday. Plus, living in a village without facilities, means having a car I can manage is essential so I don’t become house bound.
Apart from going to the Press, do you know where else we can submit our points, with a view to getting noticed & bringing some positive results eventually?
I think Motability should be totally fighting our corner & giving us their full support. Likewise other charities for the disabled & of course, the Government should be giving us backing.
Finally, thinking of the earlier bad press, I don’t see the problem, because there isn’t any way the public can tell whose car is on the Motability scheme. It’s not something that we broadcast. Apart from my emergency named driver, I haven’t any reason to inform anyone else.
Please note these are my personal views & I do not wish to upset anyone who may not share these.
Can you advise please I’m a first time motability car hunter,
My condition is so that I need a “full size” 4×4 I cannot bent to get into a regular car.
I need to step up into a car rather than sit down into a car.
I have an old x5 witch is perfect to get in and out of but no way is this on motability site.
Any ideas?
Dave,
If you need a four wheel drive car then the Nissan X-Trail (new model in July 2014) is the best value from £1499 AP, the Audi Q3 from £1599, the Chevrolet Captiva from £1999 AP, the Mitsibusho Outlander from £1999 or the smaller Volkswagen Tiguan from £1099. The 2wd options include the diesel Honda CRV, (avaialbe as a petrol 4wd) at £1999.
Whichmobilitycar.co.uk
Not sure how helpful this answer is to Dave as he specifically stated that his need was ‘full size’ 4WD.
Sadly there are no such vehicles available through Motability. All 4WD vehicles are compact SUV’s and nothing comes remotely near to the size of an X5.
We spent ages looking at all of the available vehicles in this class and most of them are of dubious quality and / or refinement (Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Hyundai) or way too small (Audi Q3).
We ended up going for a Tiguan. It is as well built as a BMW (I have owned loads so I know) and it’s a myth that it’s ‘small’. It’s Tardis like – smallish on the outside but huge inside (bigger interior space in fact that the Touran MPV. The Q3, having been ’rounded’ to look like a hatchback is significantly smaller inside than the Tiguan (you’d need a Q5 to compete). Engine refinement is nowhere near BMW levels, but we get mid 40’s from a 4WD with 7 speed DSG auto.
From one former BMW owner to another, I would suggest that the Tiguan Match (which now includes Sat Nav as Std) in 2.0TDi 4WD 7-speed DSG form at £1899 advanced payment is the best value, best quality 4WD car on the scheme and should be more than big enough for you.
What are the chances of the Golf Estate returning for the first quarter of 2014 ?
Paul,
The New Mk7 Golf estate, released in July 2013, will be added to the scheme, we are surprised that it is not on this quarter as last quarter VW were pushing the last of the mk6 through the scheme.
whichmobilitycar.co.uk
Will the BMW 318D Touring in either SE or sport be available in a auto please ?
Jane,
Only the 316d SE Touring is available as an auto AP is £2699.

All the Audi Q3’s listed here are available:

You can view the offers here: http://www.ford.co.uk/FordMotability/Motability-Offers/Overview or download the full price list from the page here: https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk/new-motability-prices-1st-october-2013-q4/

I was advised that Fiat 500L mpw would be available in Oct list but doesn’t seem to appear on Motability car search. Any information on advance payment?
We expected to see it too, Cars are added to the Scheme constantly not only at quarterly price points, we have asked Fiat UK for a date and will update you once we have more information.
whichmobilitycar.co.uk
It appears as of 5th October on the Motability site that automatic drivers are suffering again this qtr. It seems like a lot of auto models have been removed, such as the qashqui, focus titanium and so on. And if you want any of the new 4×4 models we are being asked more than double the Advance payment! Very disappointing.
Any idea if you will get new Mazda prices as I’m hoping to see the cx-5 diesel 2.2 to be added
The new prices are on the Mazda website, no diesel cx5 or diesel Mazda6 this quarter, although they have introduced the Mazda6 Touring this quarter.
With The “Skyactiv” technology consisting of light engines and cars and efficient engines and stop start the two litre petrol in the smaller power range is not too bad at all in as far as the MPG is concerned.
If you’re not doing loads of miles, it might be worth considering a petrol.
For instance on the WhatCar true mpg website you’ll be surprised at the Cx5 petrol mpg. It’s never going to be as much as a diesel but it isn’t bad.
Hope this helps.
My Volvo XC 60 D5 Geartronic is due to be changed at the end of FEB 2014, I am looking at either the VW Tiguan or the Audi Q3 who are both offering 4×4 and an auto/semi auto model. (no thing from Volvo & no Ford Kuga unfortunately)
I have noticed that Audi are saying that orders can take up to 6 months, Can I approach the dealer now even though we will be in Q1 2014 before my change date.
Paul,
You can place an order 3 months before your lease expires, just pop into the relevant dealer and all can be sorted, no need to inform Motability upfront, the car dealer can handle everything. It may be worth approaching Motability direct to see if they can give you dispensation to place an early order.

Is the BMW touring available in the 318D sport & how much does it come in at.

I have noticed that the BMW Cabriolet is no longer on the list, I know that this is now out of production but if the garages have the model in stock is it still eligible on the scheme?
Can any one please tell me if the bmw 3 series touring is now available in an automatic gearbox version please ?
The BMW 3 series Touring is available as an automatic. A single diesel 316d SE trim for an advance payment of £2699. 316i petrol in either Sport £2999 or SE £2899
whichmobilitycar.co.uk
My wife is not comfortable driving an automatic, are you aware if there are manual versions of the 3 series touring available please.
Yes, The diesel powered 316d and 318d at £1999 and £2399 in SE trim and the petrol 316i SE or Sport at £1999.
whichmobilitycar.co.uk
Is it still possible to get the BMW 1series M Sport Cabriolet on the scheme, I know these are no longer in production but if the garage has one would I be eligible for this car.
Thank you.
The 1 series Cabriolet has been discontinued and as it is not on the BMW list of cars it is not possible to order it even if the dealer has some in stock, a order cannot be placed through Motability unless it has a profile code. Sorry. The 20d M Sport is available on the 1 series three or five door or the X1 18d in 4 wheel drive or the X1 20d in 2 wheel drive.
whichmobilitycar.co.uk
I see Volvo have extended there list of cars, but no sign of the XC60 returning even with one of there more economical engines, any chance it may come back next quarter ?
Great to have the big estates back from Volvo, the XC60 has been on and off the scheme but we have not seen it for a while now but as there is a new version due in 2014 we thought it might make a reappearance but sadly no. I think it may be gone forever. Sorry.

Well… All the hype but the same old prices and same old run of the mill cars. No increase in automatics or larger cars, no Ford Kuga, no increase in the stupid £2000 top limit. All in all, Motability have become a toothless nonentity and do not represent its customers anymore. If you shop around you can get similar PCP arrangements with your local garage on a far wider range of cars. Shame on you Motability!!!!!!!
CUSTOMERS DESERVE BETTER.
Hi,
Not all cars available are listed on motability site. If you look at the dealership websites they list more cars. I’ve just paid an AP of £2999 for a car that was not on motability car search. I agree that they need more choice for larger families and autos such a shame the Daily Mail allowed that article to be printed. Motability car or not costs the government (taxpayers) the same ignorant people spoil it for the rest of us 🙁
Hi,
when will the updates be available, the dealers have the same price lists. I wanted to know has the audi a1 1.2, 1.4 petrol increased in price and are there any changes to the ford fiesta zetec?? Please could you let me know, thanks.
Well.. All the hype but the same old prices and the same old run of the mill cars. Prices are arriving all the time and this page will update you ASAP

Do you know if the Antara will be returning for Q4 and what the advance payments will be?
Thanks
Hi
We have ordered the Outlander GX3. I received my current car 29/12/10 and motability state in the renewal pack that I cannot order until 1/10/13. I have placed my order with Mitsubushi but am worried it will no longer be available from 1st October. I need a 7 seater occasionally.
Gemma
I’ve just noticed the outlander GX3 is no longer available on motability 🙁 don’t know where I stand now??
Gemma,
The Car is showing on the Mitsubishi Page but not on the downloadable pdf. you could always take a screen shot showing the car available in case you need it, as you have placed the order everything should be fine as the order went through with the allocated VTN number, problems tend to occur when a car does not have a VTN associated with it.
What do you think of the qashqui +2 petrol deposit of £2k. I travel approx 5000 miles per annum against the diesel deposit of £ 3k which is a little out of my league
Paul,
The QQ+2 automatics are all four wheel drive which will have a detrimental effect on your economy return, the QQ+2 in 360 trim with the petrol engine is available for £1299 advance payment which is a good price for a lot of car. In the real world you can expect around 28 miles per gallon from the Petrol car and around 36 from the diesel, from the 15000 miles you cover over your lease the diesel will cost £850 less to run so the better value is the Petrol car, but not by much. The new Qashqai is due in early 2014 and there will not be a +2 version, the X trail will become the Nissan 7 seat option.

I sympathise with many of the previous comments, as I am also struggling to find a suitable vehicle. We are a young (well, the 3 children are) family whose aim is to make the most out of life before my deteriorating condition makes certain adventures impractical. I therefore require a car that will seat two adults, three children, a full set of camping gear and still be comfortable for extended driving on mainland Europe. An automatic gearbox, cruise control and reasonable advance payment are also a necessity. Is this too much to ask? What will Q4 pricing bring?
Anthony,
I fully understand your predicament, the new Citroen C4 Picasso, while it only has a semi-Automatic gearbox, will house you and your camping equipment in comfort and will ensure you receive a very warm reception around Europe, particularly France. Advance payments start from £995.

Our current vehicle is a Vauxhall Zafira and even with a roof box it is a very tight squeeze to get everything onboard. It seems that the choice of large people carriers is limited to just three vehicles, a Ford Galaxy, an S-Max, or VW Sharan, but I get cold shivers every time I think of the advance payment for the automatic models (with cruise control). The boot of the standard C4 would be too small for our needs, but the Grand C4 might be the answer and I wait in anticipation that it will return to the list with suitable engine/gearbox options and a reasonable advance payment.
Just been to the Suzuki dealer and checked out the SX4-Scross, a lovely car but the auto cvt with the ‘All Grip’ is a top spec model thus commands a deposit of £1,999, sadly out of reach for a lot of people who require a good automatic with 4wheel drive capability. in fact very limited range for anybody requiring 4 wheel drive automatic.
Was given wrong info for deposit on the Suzuki SX4-Scross ‘all grip’ cvt auto, the deposit is £2,999 bit steep at moment may come down in future quarters, the other price was for the manual version.
What is the chances of the vauxhall Antara 4×4
Coming back to motability in Q4?
It’s a shame the ford kuga was removed as that was my second choice !
And the Mazda cx5 was brilliant to test drive but it was a 4×4 2.2 diesel. and not the petrol 2.0 to which is the only option on motability.
I’m glad that motability is around but is it me or are choices becoming limited!
I’d feel a lot better paying a deposit for a vehicle that has lots of practicality and is astheticaly pleasing . Than to just have to settle for a vehicle that is not as practical nor pleasing to the eye.
Do you know if the Peugeot RCZ is on the scheme in October ?? If so how much is the advanced payment
The RCZ should remain on the scheme, more than likely without a change in the advance payment.

Our current car is due for renewal next year. We’ve decided to opt out of Motability due to the lack of choice and restrictions set in place as a result of the media attention two years back.
There are some extremely good PCP deals available on cars, particularly ones that would simply be out of the question on Motability.
We need a Diesel Estate Auto for a family including an adult wheelchair user. The selection on this front is uninspiring now.
We’ll be looking at an E class Mercedes Estate for circa £350 a month on PCP with zero deposit and a service package. We’ll have approximately £1000 of modifications done to the car. The higher rate mobility allowance will go towards this.
Of course we’ll have to insure it and be responsible for the tyres, but giving the scheme is now pampering to journalists and political pressure it’s time to opt out.
will you please email the new q4 prices to me asap. thank you
Anyone had a look at the new c4 picaso? real nice kit, and the top of the range model comes in a £795 advance payment on the manual.
anyone have any inside info on if this might change? not sure if to order now or wait till oct 1st, just hope the price wont go up. just not seen any on the road.
Fantastic car. Reviewed here:

Does news of the VW sharan for Q4? will the SE version still be available
We would not expect a change in the price of the Sharan, and would expect the SE to remain on the scheme.
Ford Kuga – having spoken to a Ford Dealership, I was informed it is unlikely that this Car will be available for lease on the scheme Q4 2013.
If you are looking to get this model, then i suggest you wait until 2014 Q1 if possible, even then my source said that they would not guarantee it being on the scheme.
They are blaming high retail orders backing up production lines.
Disappointing for me as it was on my short list,
I’ve contacted Motability regarding their revised Advance Payment Scheme and the severe cutback in available cars which was their knee jerk reaction to unfavourable media coverage two years ago due to the abuse of the system. I asked them why the ordinary genuine customer was punished with this cutback of choice and why the offending garages and “false” customers were let off. Naturally I’ve received no reply. I am now looking to replace my 4×4 Volvo estate with a similar automatic one and there’s nothing that matches up. I’ve tried reminding them that the advance payment can be pushed upwards again in order to give customers a better choice especially with regard to petrol cars and automatics and that Motability customers are not all elderly folk driving around in Hyundai i10’s !!!!! (Typical media analogy not mine). Can anyone persuade Motability to look again at their scheme?
I Agree totally with you Bryan. We have always had a 7 seater 4×4 and decided to extend our contract by 1 year and was hoping to get the 4×4 Volvo which was perfect for our needs in both size and space for chairs , seats etc. We have had to settle for a vauxhall 4×4 which has been rejected now as it is totally unsuitable but we cannot find anything that will meet our motability needs (they simply dont understand reason when you ask a question). I can see why they wanted to keep deposits to a minimum, but we must have better choice of large automatic vehicles on the scheme. The choice of a larger deposit is an individuals decision and this enables “the client” to lease a car that suits the their motability needs – Its getting to the point where I may just buy a second hand car instead which is crazy and completely defeats the schemes objectives.
Jason,
The seven seat Mitsibushi Outlander is available as a manual for £2999 advance payment in GX3 trim with full leather. 10.2 seconds 0-60 and a claimed 52 miles per gallon.

Thanks for the reply we did take a look at this as I thought it would be OK but unfortunately it is a very very ugly car with a plastic interior that just feels cheap- I know its a scheme to help but we have to live with the car for 3 years+ and I would not like to look out of my kitchen window and see this every morning. Just checked the new cars and they are still the same old, think we are going to buy a second hand car as the scheme does not work for us anymore. Why oh Why they took the Hyundai Santa fe off and the volvo range is beyond me. OK take the range rovers off etc but all we want is a good quality 7 seater 4×4 and are willing to pay for it.
Jason,
The only other 4×4 seven seater on the scheme is the Chevrolet Captiva, but after what you said over the Antara I guess its not going to ‘float your boat’

Anyone know if the Kia Sportage 3 advance payment will be reduced or increased in October 2013 price guide? I heard sometimes the dealers find out a week or 2 beforehand.
Karen,
The Kia Sportage 3 was reduced by £300 this quarter from £1799 to £1499 Advance Payment and therefore would be surprised to see further reduction next quarter.

I’m so glad the Antara will be returning in Q4!
Already extended contract till Oct. eagerly waiting to see if vauxhall would bring Antara back .
This suv is perfect for us.
Hopfully Vauxhall will have the SE Nav 4×4 under £2000 deposit.
If so I’m at a vauxhall dealers first thing on 1st of October!!!
Its not coming back this quarter anyway, and you should be glad,i have one on motability, and I am lucky if I get 24mpg,around town,i have the 163bhp automatic, the fuel economy is the worst in its class, and the inside of it looks like it was built in the 70s ,motability have done customers a favour by cancelling it on motability, also the DPF problems it is having, doing regen all the time, diabolical, avoid like the plague,be warned.
Agree we have had an Antara for 1 year now – the car itself is OK but the fuel my god it states 36mpg and I have run this at 50 mph for a stretcth of 30 miles and did not get it over 26mpg – be careful the Antara may look like a deal but you will pay £1000’s over the 3 years in extra fuel costs – we estimated on 12000 miles a year it would costs an extra £9,000 on our old 2.7 diesel Sata fe.
Hi there am looking for an automatic car 5door
