The Audi Q3 is the smallest SUV from Audi, the Q5 and Q7 are too expensive to be on the scheme, but don’t think the Q3 is small just because it has two bigger brothers, there is room for five (at a push) and the 420 litre boot is very generous. The Q3 is available in two or four wheel drive (Quattro) and has been face-lifted for 2017 with a new 3D grille, chrome-plated tailpipes (S-Line Edition), electric lumbar support and a built in Sat Nav standard across the range. The Q3 is well well equipped, well built and comfortable, rear room is excellent if compromised by the transmission tunnel for the middle passenger, but the recessed front seats make for excellent legroom for the outside two rear passengers. The Q3 is a quality car and this is evident everywhere you look inside the car, the build quality is truly excellent, its also quiet on the move and engaging to drive. The Q3 has very few faults in fact apart from the uneventful external styling there is very little not to like about the Q3 and due to the fact Audi cars hold their value so well Audi are able to offer the Q3 at a very competitive price making the Audi Q3 is a realistic alternative to the Nissan Qashqai or the Ford Kuga.
Three versions of the Audi Q3 are available, Sport, S-Line Edition and Black Edition. Only the well appointed Sport trim is avaialble to Mobility customers, standard equipment includes 17 inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, dual zone climate control, all round electric windows and front and rear fog lights, Bluetooth Audio, DAB radio, electric lumbar control, CD player and AMI (Audi Media Interface) which enables you to plug in a phone, USB drive or MP3 player all paired to 8 speakers and controlled through the 6.5 inch retractable dash mounted colour screen that also houses the Satellite Navigation system. Also included is Audi Drive Select which gives you four driving modes to choose from.
Following the introduction of the Price Cap in January 2017 only a single engine is avaialble for the Scheme. The front wheel drive 1.4 litre petrol has a clever cylinder shut-off system which can shut down two cylinders when idling to preserve petrol, it works too as the claimed economy is an impressive 51.4 miles per gallon, there is no loss of power as the little petrol can push the Q3 to 62mph in 9.2 seconds. The Automatic (s-tronic) dual clutch gearbox has an excellent seven speed gearbox that can offer 47.9 mpg and an increased dash to 62 miles per hour time of 8.9 seconds.
