Seat Alhambra

seat-alhambra-motability-car-sideThe Seat Alhambra is one of the largest cars avaialble on the Motability Scheme, matched by the Ford Galaxy and eclipsed by only the SsangYong Turismo, but neither can match the value for money offered by the big Seat. The Alhambra can seat seven with three full sized individual seats in the second row and two fold flat seats for the third row that can even house a flexible adult.  Built in Palmela Portugal, alongside its sister car the Volkswagen Sharan, the Alhambra has a delightful high driving position and is as comfortable a car as you will find on the Scheme, it also handles better that you would expect and once you become accustomed to its size you will not find parking a problem and with rear sliding doors passengers can exit without the fear of clipping other parked cars.

The Xcellence adds a built in Sat nav with rear view camera, heated front seats, panoramic glass roof, leather upholstery, electric operated rear doors and tailgate and 12-way electrically adjustable front seats.

With 17 inch wheels the 150 bhp can return a claimed 56.5 miles per gallon as a manual car or 54.3 as a automatic. The 148 can reach 62 mph in just over 10 seconds.  As a tow car the Alhambra excels, braked tow weight is a massive 2200kg for the diesel engine, we have happily towed a six berth caravan with the VW Sharan, the Alhambra was awarded ‘best MPV’ at the tow car awards for 2016.
